Migration of User and Group from SAS 9.4 to SAS Viya can be also done using the command-line interfaces (CLIs).In SAS Viya, A CLI is a user interface where you can enter commands on a command line and receive a response from the system. For migration of user and group first we need to export a user and group details. For getting a user and group details we suppose to call a pre-defined macro function by which we can get a user and group’s details in a dataset format.
This Dataset will be used to create LDAP user.
Note: In SAS Viya User and group information is always obtained from your designated direct LDAP provider.

In SAS Viya User and group information is always obtained from your designated direct LDAP provider. Any service or application that uses the Identities service pulls the associated user information from the LDAP server directly. After Importing a user and group we have to give Authentication & Authorization (Roles/Capability and Rules) which can also migrated through CLI.
By combining best practices for process and the promotion tools provided in the SAS 9.4 environment, you can establish an effective change control system for metadata-based content.
